I just wanted to put a quick up date on whats going on with Nationals. I have some dissapointing news, but it could turn into something great when the time comes! Since my skates have not been purchased yet, I’ve decided to put going to Nationals on hold until next year. This will give me the chance to focus on what needs to be purchased, and gives me time to get worked into the newbies!
I’m sorry to have to mention this to anyone that has been following me as a skater, but confidence wise, I’d like to be at that level of knowing that I’m worthy enough of going. Besides that, I don’t know if anyone of you knew this already, but I was actually going to Nationals unattatched… Which means I’d be representing myself and not the rink. So I’m aiming for next year. This year is going to still be focused on getting sponsored and having fundraisers (but it also means creating a quad speed skating team for Nampa.)
I’m not letting not going to nationals get me down. In fact, im taking this opportunity to get myself more ready for the next year. Better equipment, more practice times and funds that are going to be established for traveling or any other costs for skating.
I just want to thank you again for the support. It means the world to me, and I hope that you continue to follow me as I progress with a team of dedicated quad skaters. Watch us as we skate on into something that may turn heads and brighten the future of possibilities! =]
